July 15: Here is a window that we got to go in the downstairs bathroom. It came from an antique store in our area that has literally thousands of salvaged stained glass windows.
July 15: Here are some more pictures of the porch, including one of our dogs enjoying it.
July 13: Roofing started. Shingles are on the back part of the house and the porch on the south side. The porch roof is framed about 3/4 around. Here are some pictures of the house showing the porch and a close-up of the shingles. They are "weathered wood" color.

July 11: Posts started going up around the porch. They are 6x6 square posts.

July 10: Porch frame and floor completed. We will have a covered porch on the front and down the south side, and there will also be a small porch off the second floor (at least on the front and possibly on the side, as well).

July 4: Decking and tar paper on the roof were completed a few days ago. Sheeting on the outside walls is still ongoing, but it's almost finished. Here are a couple of pictures of the outside and one of the inside of the attic. It will be a 12 x 20 room with a window on the back wall that is currently covered over.

July 3: Temporary stairs built! The frame of the stairs is permanent but with scrap boards nailed on as temporary treads. They are a little steep but much better than the ladder!

Here is a view up the stairs and also one looking down at the boxes of windows that are waiting to be installed.

June 30-July 3: Initial plumbing finished. The only thing worth seeing so far is the tub/shower unit in the upstairs bathroom. It is a one-piece Aqua Glass unit. It was a little tricky to get upstairs, but they managed it OK.
